The quality is really nice and it's super handy. I used to sound like the janitor who's keys keep rattling together whenever I walk by. Now I only look like him.
I liked everything about it, this is my second key organizer
I wanted to like this and admittedly, it was an impulse buy. However, when you think about the mechanics of this tool the issue should be apparent. Since the keys are held together by a crush washer and therefore, pressure, you'll end up pulling/pushing out multiple keys when you really only want one. Another thing, I have varying sized keys and so when I push my home key out I didn't realize it but the smaller key next to it came out as well and so as I went to insert my key it was being blocked because that smaller padlock key came out. Sure, this is just a matter of reorganizing my keys but I use it as a way to index other keys in the organizer.
Does it keep my keys from jingling? Sure but as soon as I had to put other things on the outer D-ring that "benefit" went away. I'm also invested in the Tile products and with no way to really viably put the Tile on the inside, it ended up on the outside. So now I have two items connected to the D-Ring. I also have a badge reader that I need to have with me at all times.
Sadly, this just didn't work out for me. The inherent flaw to me is the tension mechanism. Sometimes, simpler is better and a regular old keyring works best for me. Quick access to all of my keys and easy to identify at a quick glance allows me to quickly get to the right key. Looks like I'll have to give this up as a gift.
Orbitkey certainly make some very nice products so I'll be looking out for other things that might work better for me.
