This tool relies on friction between the tool and the key. I cut the key down in height, but just enough to ensure the new height butted against the inner notch of this tool. This way, there is a mechanical hard stop between the two, so it works even better.
I always struggle to get one key for the house door, now I don't have to do this.. thanks to this little flip tool
