Orbitkey's Limited Edition Cosmic Collection - No two pieces the same

Unique hardware finish, launched on the same day as the upcoming total solar eclipse in Europe. Available 12 August 2026 at orbitkey.com

Melbourne, AU (August 2026) -  Orbitkey, the Melbourne-based organisation brand behind the original Key Organiser, the Nest, and the 2-in-1 Tech Pouch, today launches the Cosmic Collection: three pieces built around a new iridescent hardware finish, applied across the Key Organiser Pro and Multitool V2.

The launch date happens to line up with a real one: on 12 August 2026, a total solar eclipse crosses parts of Iceland, Greenland, northern Spain, and a small corner of Portugal, the first total eclipse visible from mainland Europe since 1999. It wasn't planned around the date, but it's a fitting coincidence for a collection that includes a piece named after the phenomenon

Most limited editions are limited in name only: a capped number, a stamp, a "while stocks last" line, but every unit still comes out looking the same as the last. Cosmic is different because the hardware itself won't repeat. It's finished with an iridescent stainless steel coating, and small, unavoidable differences in the metal and the coating process mean the tones (bronze, green, purple, blue) land a bit differently on every piece. Tilt it in the light and the colours shift. No two Key Organisers or Multi-tools will look quite the same, and there's no way to make them match even if you wanted to.

The Cosmic Concept

Cosmic started with the finish, but it grew into something bigger. Rather than treat the iridescent finish as a one-off colourway, Orbitkey built the collection around three celestial phenomena: the Moon, a solar eclipse, and a supernova, giving each piece its own point of reference and its own place in a wider story. It's a different approach to Orbitkey's earlier Aurora releases, which centred on the finish itself. Cosmic sets out to be a concept first, one the finish serves rather than the other way round.

The idea came from the hardware treatment itself: a process that produces an iridescent finish on stainless steel, but can't produce it the same way twice. Rather than treat that as something to control for, Orbitkey built the collection around it. Each piece stays within the intended colour direction for its phenomenon, but the exact mix will differ slightly from one piece to the next, which is the point.

Key Organiser Pro – Moon Rock

Moon Rock takes its name and colour cues from the pitted, silvery surface of the moon. The hardware carries cooler, more muted tones than the rest of the range, set against a matte grey leather body. It's the same Key Organiser Pro build Orbitkey customers already know: same fold, same key capacity, with the Cosmic finish and grey leather as the only things that change from piece to piece and from the standard range.

Available in matte grey leather, with foil-stamped Cosmic Collection branding.

Key Organiser Pro – Eclipse

Eclipse is named for the moment a solar eclipse darkens the sky and briefly reveals the sun's corona. The hardware here leans into deeper, more contrasted tones, set against a matte black leather body. Like Moon Rock, the fold mechanism and build are unchanged from the standard Key Organiser Pro; only the finish and the black leather mark it out as part of the collection.

Available in matte black leather, with foil-stamped Cosmic Collection branding.

Multi-tool V2 – Supernova

Supernova carries the boldest colours in the collection, inspired by the burst of light and colour released when a star reaches the end of its life. It's built on the same Multi-tool V2 platform as the standard range, with the Cosmic hardware finish as the one thing that's different, and the one thing that won't look the same twice.

Available with foil-stamped Cosmic Collection branding.

Features

Iridescent Cosmic hardware (all three products) – Unique stainless steel finish that shifts through bronze, green, purple and blue depending on the light and the angle you're looking from.

No two pieces are the same (all three products) – Colour lands differently on every piece because of how the finishing process works, not because of a fault. Expect variation, not consistency.

Matte grey leather (Key Organiser Pro – Moon Rock) – A plain, matte body that keeps the focus on the hardware.

Matte black leather (Key Organiser Pro – Eclipse) – Same approach as Moon Rock, in black.

Boldest hardware tones (Multi-tool V2 – Supernova) – Carries the most saturated end of the Cosmic colour range.

Foil-stamped branding (all three products) – A Cosmic Collection mark, foilstamped rather than printed.

Cosmic-themed packaging (all three products) – The box carries the same iridescent detailing as the hardware inside it.

Same platform as usual (all three products) – Key Organiser Pro and Multitool V2 mechanisms are unchanged. Only the finish and materials are specific to Cosmic.
